Yes, these do have a lovely warm weather feeling. I'll try and do something with one or even two of these. Are these meant to be done in any kind of Master style or just self style?

Super summer images, Janet.

Do you see this as a one or two month project? Up to you!

Re: Photo Paint-Along/June 2009

June, two months might be good with vacations and all.

I'm going to try all four if I can. I' m hooked on the little dog and towel in the background of the teen on the beach and the birds on top of the statue.

Xina, this project is self style all the way. You can even be inspired by a photo, and do a memory or chop a bit off and paint that. Do what you feel, in any medium. It will be great to see what you come up with.

Sandra, the flowers are beautiful and very fragile looking. Hope you find time to do them.

Janet

Xina, yes, do join in too.

Here's my first one. I've been experimenting on what surface to use for Derwent Graphitint and I am enjoying this Artist Marker Pad that I got from Aquabee /aka Bee Company at 110 lbs and it's smoother than Bristol Smooth 300 series. Technically, it's better to have some tooth for Derwent but I sometimes tired of the medium tooth look.

I can't scan it because the blue and red disappears on me and I can't lighten the photo because it would give me strange colors on the hair. This is more or less what it is like but it's white in real life background wise.

I love the work on the beach-girl pose. Sandra, you've given the girl a slender elegance.

Mette, I love the way your girl is so engrossed. Collecting shells?

Mette, very nice watercolors. Yours is on a hot day definitely and mine is on a cloudy day! You even gave her very toned muscles. Nice job there on the upper arm.
