Two from today

Had a little time this afternoon so I indulged in a couple of 5x7's. Both are in oil from photos I had taken of local scenes. C&C welcome.

Re: Two from today

Beautiful work, Mike. I especially like the one with the cows playing in the water.

Re: Two from today

Your second painting reminds me of seeing cows seeking relief from the heat of summer by standing in fairly deep water. Their contentment and relief was easy to see. Nice composition.

Re: Two from today

Two different styles but both are well done and interesting in their own way

Re: Two from today

Thanks for the comments eveyone I sort of jump around a bit on style depending on the subject matter. The cows were a nice sereen setting and the other is just that burst of color that spring can bring on. Neither really photograghed as well as I would have liked. Hard to really capture a painting in a photogragh sometimes!
