trying to find...

I recently saw an artist who used bits and pieces that have been cut with a laser cutter and looked like keys, keyholes, watch parts, cogs, wheels, mechanisms and all that.....I would like to find such things but so far no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

I know that if you ask, Usually the places where they cut Keys will give you the shavings left over from cutting keys.
Have you asked at any tool & die (sp) shops where they produce lightweight metal goods? Could produce some interesting results Howard.
Be sure to take a baby food or any small glass jar to carry the filings in as they are small and very hard to contain.

Funny you should mention this. I've been thinking lately that it'd be cool to incorporate old typewriter keys into a painting.
