Teenage Boy's Room: Abstract Mural
My daughter had designed a abstract mural for her brother's room and we worked together to paint this on one wall. The faux windows were actually windows facing out to the back porch, but we filled it it to form the south wall of the added room before we even planned for any painting...we haven't yet fixed the wall in the bedroom. Instead of having to redo the bedroom wall...and the horrible vinyl wall paper originally installed there, my daughter decided that painting it would be better, and so we just worked the "windows" in! My teenage son did not want traditional mural in his room, and, By Gum, his wish was our command!

Re: Teenage Boy's Room: Abstract Mural
Thank U for the warm fuzzies...as you know, teenage boys don't usually wrap their arms around Moms with a cry of, "Oh Mother, you shouldn't have!" with tears of gratitude moisturizing their eyes, adoring pupils glistening, but he likes it and shows it "cooly" by not tossing his dirty clothes in that area...heheh, Sue.

Wow, that IS cool!! I'm not a huge fan of "abstracts" as a general rule, but that is psychedelic, baby!

I'm glad your son likes this so much-my second daughter would absolutely love it; but it would drive me screaming down the street!

Re: Teenage Boy's Room: Abstract Mural
LOL!!! Personally, I could live without it...but...it's a kid thing. Thank the Paint Society that invented easy application paint...two coats, and bye bye mural...but I won't do that until the the young man leaves. (No boomerang kids please...we don't live in Australia...and I love Aussies, by the way...so don't get down under about my joke)...

Re: Teenage Boy's Room: Abstract Mural
Yes, there is that dreaded...AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWSOME, DUDE stage...my ten year old daughter is now awesoming dudes left and right, even if the receipient is female...like Mom. Tell your daughter that a ten year old is saying it and I bet your daughter will quit! (I'm a veteran Mom of teens and tweens and some already balding )! I would want to borrow some of those posters to hide some of those colors on steroid! Thanks, Michelle~your post was...here's the hahaha....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwso me...Du.
