Diamonds Show at Midland Center for the Arts

For those of you n the Detroit, Saginaw, Ann Arbor and Midland, MI areas, the Midland Center for the Arts has an ongoing show titled "The Nature of Diamonds", on the geology, extraction and uses of diamonds. The show includes examples of several fabulous pieces of jewelry, as well as the entire Aurora collection of colored and shaped stones. It's a show well worth attending.

While you are there, please note the paintings in the auditorium lobby and cafe. Because I often use a diamond motif or diamond-shaped canvases in my geometric abstractions, I was asked to provide 8 pieces to accompany the show, and to serve as a lead-in to it. They will be up until September 5. Please enjoy.
