New Problem Using Mac's Safari Browser Here

For the last week or so, I have been required to log in whenever I come to Wet Canvas using my Safari browser. Here is the message that comes at the top of the page when it opens:

Then I have to do the log in and password thingie each time.

This has only just started happening, I've been using Safari as a browser for at least two years and never had it happen before.

Is anyone else experiencing this? What has changed here?

Sylvia

Usually failure to remember you are logged in is a cookie problem Sylvia.

I'm not familiar with Safari, but usually if you delete your cookies then after you log in again, the cookie is stored and the site remembers you next time if you stay logged in when you leave.

It could of course be a wetcanvas problem, but I havn't had lots of Safari complaints of late.

Thanks, Doug. I first had to find my cache to clear it, but once I did that and then logged in, closed out (but stayed logged in when I left), and came back again, it WORKED! You are the man!

Thanks again.

Sylvia, me too, but, said nothing (mostly).
I will do that too, and we'll see.
Thanks for posting.

Nope, still having to log in over & over.
Nothing to do with Mac or Safari.
They are excellent.
I'm logged on for ages with
Martha Stewart
Hallmark
Webshots
etc.
etc.
Only WC kicking me off consistently.

I found that the "fix" above that I thought solved the problem was temporary and I, too, am having to log in whenever I come to Wet Canvas for the first time each day when using Safari.

Re: New Problem Using Mac's Safari Browser Here

Sylvia & Doug & "ds", I'm having to log in several times during the day.
Sometimes in the same thread just going to the next page.
For security sake, OK, however, it's a bit of a glitch apparently,
and somewhat annoying. I never thought of blaming Safari or Mac though.
Sylvia, forgive me, I was waiting for you to report that the "fix" had become "unfixid". Hey, let's have tea.

I assume you are not logging out, even at the end of the day?

Re: New Problem Using Mac's Safari Browser Here

I don't log out when I leave Wet Canvas, Doug. I just quit the site.

It doesn't happen with Firefox, when I open WC on Firefox, I don't have to log in, just with Safari.

I'm also having to log in now using Safari and didn't before. I thought it was because I haven't been on for a bit.

Sounds like a Safari update has sent things awry. Nothing has changed at this end.
