"A New Day"

I loved this photo and wanted to give it another go. I like this darker version better overall. I think the morning light reads better. 9 x 12" acrylic on paper.

No! I'm from Southern California, but I love it up here. The four seasons just rock. In San Diego, you have to pay careful attention to detect spring...

Celeste, This is fantastic!! The directional strokes really make for a dramatic lead to the sun on the horizon and the sharp contrasts in light and dark so well balanced with an interesting and appropriate palette. I learn from studying your paintings and am so glad that you post here!
