Yupo_Watercolor
I actually quite enjoyed doing this in watercolor on yupo. I like the looseness that you have to work with

Great painting Marylin, you achieved a great result with this... One question: did you layer your colors or just planned where they were to be be and dropped them???

Thank you for looking. I had fun with the stuff. I layered my colors very carefully. It has to be very dry and then just lightly drop in the color and wait for that to dry before adding or substracting. I like the fact you can take off the color to the bare bones and wedge them in and out. It is more difficult with paper. I will use this again. I am going to spray it with a fixative. I know that you can scratch the painting very easily too. Fun to experiment.

This is beautiful. maybe I will try some of that Yupo. Is it paper? I think I saw it advertised. I'll reread the posts and answer my own question .

absolutely beautiful. colors flow so loosely and free. Pigments are deep and vivid.
i'm not familiar with yupo, but afetr you mentioned that color coul;d be scratched easily i'm just curious about longevity of paintings on Yupo and framing Yupo paintings.

Look at the intensity of those colors!
Beautiful Marylin! almost seems abstract.

Yupo : still such a mystery to me - can't lay my hands on it and never received samples.
But your floral experiment is really smashing !
