Hails from United States
1st Plein Aire 11 x 14 oil on canvas

Mira Lake in San Diego, Ca. About 3 hours of work. Totally enjoyed the freedom painting out side.. Next time I will bring bug repelant for the ants that were crawling on me and the painting.
Any comments welcome. I tried to capture the light on the trail. Happy Painting,
~USA*DAVE~

Nice work, Dave. You did an excellent job of capturing the light ... a cool and gleaming effect. Makes me want to walk there!

Great, for a first! You should be really pleased....and I'm glad you loved the feel of painting plein air! That's so much a part of the process.

I just learned that cinnamon would keep the ants away....yep! Get some cinnamon sticks to place at the legs of your easel. The spray won't do a lot of good to deter those little anties! But you should have spray with you, in case of other critters!
