Ferris Wheel

I was thinking I wanted to try doing an abstract and didn't know where this would take me...it ended up looking like a combination amusement park ride at night and spider web combined. This is 8 x 10 inches, acrylics on stretched canvas and comments very welcome!

Re: Ferris Wheel

Much movement, life and depth. I like especially the sections, where the structure of the canvas is visible. It adds else more texture.
Compliment!

Lynnie- even without your usual subject matter, your style shines through!

Re: Ferris Wheel

Definitely Lynnie,,, style and color.
I can see spider webs on little used ferris wheels,,,,

And a little tree,,,,,,,,
trying to twine up out of that right corner,
Stephen King style.

Re: Ferris Wheel

I like the feeling of great depth that you obtain in your paintings and this is no exception. Looks like the painting goes way back there! I like that a lot. The feeling of 3D is very intoxicating in a 2D work.

Re: Ferris Wheel

Fairground with fireworks! Interesting and the depth of field works well, I can imagine it a lot larger than you have actually painted it! Really like the red flashes!

Re: Ferris Wheel

Thanks so much Delane and I love your painting "Jamacian punch" that you posted tonight, it reminds me of warm sandy beaches, sunshine and fun!

Re: Ferris Wheel

This is just beautiful! A lot of force and movement.
It also reminds me somewhat of planets and stars exploding, creating, expanding.
