Christmas Candy

Good Evening, All!

Someone at work brought this candy in and I knew that I was going to have to paint it. I think there is still a bit to do, but I would say this is better than 90% complete. Needs more highlights.

I caught it in it's natural habitat, sitting on my computer table!

C&C welcome!

:O)

Re: Christmas Candy

That looks really good Paul. It can't be easy doing a wrapper like that.

Re: Christmas Candy

Hey Gray!! Thanks! You know, believe it or not, this was easier than I thought it would be. I'm getting ready to post a completed version now.

Hey Jean! You know, this guy was the last of the Mohicans and just before I posted the picture of it, one of my kids came up and wiped him out! I didn't even get ONE! Yes, it IS rather tragic! HA! :O)X

Re: Christmas Candy

Okay all! I got back to finish this one quicker than I thought I would. just added a bit of highlight and smoothed out the rather spotty shadow. Still some room for improvement, but my patience wears thin quickly!!

This is another GIMP/mouse combo. Took me a couple hours or so. What FUN this was!!

Thanks for looking!

Re: Christmas Candy

Thanks Kenny!! As I look at both of the above pictures, I'm not sure I can tell the difference between the initial posting and the one that I reworked! Oh well, everything falls apart when you hit 40! :O)

Nice work Paul.. and yes they both look the same to me.. Thats okay seeing you are falling apart at 40 LOL... Need to get a bottle of Elmer's Glue. Not to sniff though just glue the parts back on and You will last as long as me.

Looks good!

Did you remember to change the file name before posting the second picture?

Re: Christmas Candy

Thanks All! You know, I probably didn't change the name on the file! Oh well - not like I needed further proof that I'm a 'wackjob'! hehe!

As I said in another post, my old identity is in limbo right now because I haven't been able to get the password retrieve to work for me and perhaps no one is manning the help desk these days? I dunno, I've checked my spam folder and haven't a thing in there from WC!. Still working on getting it back!

Happy New Year To You All!!
