Re: Portraits in pastel

Frank, your children's portraits are utterly charming and beautifully worked. And the adults all tell a story of who they are. You're so very talented and I'd assume you paint full time.

Just excellent work. The little boy above is just so charming that I'd hang it in my home! Cheeky monkey, I'd say! The personality is all there.

Re: Portraits in pastel

Dana,
Thanks a lot for your comments.
I have drawn and painted for decades but only just started full time.
In the past I concentrated on pastel portraits, from photos and life.
Recently, I have started doing more in oils from life and I'm loving it.
I plan to just keep painting.

Yes, you do a great job. I enjoyed browsing your website. I too do not take a deposit for my commissions. I think we are about the only two people out there who don't. I have been told I am crazy, but I figure if they don't want the paint I get to keep it for my portfolio. Good luck with everything, and welcome to wetcanvas! It is a priceless resource!

I like the boy of these two- it has a Rockwell feel to it in a good way!
