These are all either 9x12 or 8x10.
I am finding that I can create these brushstrokes alot easier on a smaller scale, and it helps me to stay away from too much detail.
Thanks guys for all your great comments!!!
now I am off to look at everyones work!

Re: New Work
Great to see you back Alicia something familiar about that first one
How are you getting on with the fires?
By the way I found your quote in one of my books
"Dialogues of Alfred North Whitehead" page 16
The front piece is a photo of him perhaps you would like to do a portrait of him?
Your work is as dynamic as always Dave

Re: New Work
Hey Dave!
I didn't think I should tell everyone that the first one is of you (000ps now I guess they know ) because I got a small resemblence,,,,But the title is
"Dave".......so ....;;;
Thanks also for the picture of my man Alfred! you actually have one of his books!!
He would make a good portrait study...
thanks for the tip " Dave "

Re: New Work
Alicia, lovely work, particularly the first two which combine the accurate shadows with the energetic light.

Can't believe how great these look working so small. I need to go back to the drawing board.

Re: New Work
Ooooh, you are soooooo good. Maybe you could up your brush sizes if you ever want to work on bigger canvasses.
