Medusa (warning, nude)
8x10, working with negative space - very cross eyed making. I cheated a bit - the fine hairs are painted in with the black repair in afterward.
Question - I want to do one (well, I will be doing one) of a flaccid penis - just from the bottom of the belly to mid thigh. The point of the picture is that not all nudes are beautiful women, anything can be art. It will be going in the show in March (unless I stuff it up of course).
With proper warnings and labels, would it be ok to show here? Or are only pretty women accepted? (which would sort of prove my point... heehee)
An edit... Guys, don't worry about offering to model - I have two guys willing to pose already!

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
Eliza, Beautiful work. I don't think you can call it cheating to paint in the fine hairs. I see enough that you had to go around. I like the whole piece, very good.
Now for the other , as far as I am concerned ,go for it. I think the icon gives fair warning. Darn, I lost another modeling job. Rick

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
I agree as long as it is labeled with the icon and you follow the forum rules, I don't think there should be a problem.

It is my understanding that there is no cheating in art.
Excellant tool work here.

You can't say that when she's about to draw a flaccid penis!!!
Very nice work Eliza. I agree, it's not cheating - not at all.
Regarding modelling work, I don't want to model for you but I would appreciate the medusa model's phone number
(it's the hormones. I'm a growing lad )

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
Eliza: great work on the skin and small changes like the colour and texture of the areola. I also like the soft highlights on her shoulders - and no, it's not cheating to ink the hair back in!
One small area I'm wondering about is the dark upside-down v-shape under the breasts - I know it's supposed to be the bottom of the sternum (breastbone) where the last ribs attach, but I wonder if the change in values would be so sharp there? Or maybe it's just been a loooong time since I saw my own ribs in the mirror I've forgotten what it should look like?
Very sensual work - if the guys' reactions are any indication, this should be a popular piece for you.

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
It actually sold the night I finished it - or the next morning, or sometime during the dark hours. I sent it to a few people before I went to bed, at the same time I put it here, and when I woke up it had been claimed.
The only ribs I see are the ones I eat!

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
What a bunch of school kids you people are, snickering and tittering at the nude body.... made me laugh right out loud! Shame on us!
Eliza...this is beautiful and that's not cheating in art--so you painted parts of the hair...Painting is art! I think the hair looks terrific but (just a suggestion) maybe add a few fine scratches of hair extending past the body line??

Re: Medusa (warning, nude)
Nice!
It'd be cool if hidden in the hair was written something like "lust" or something!!!!
It's very stylized and I LIKE IT!
