Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
Reminder: You now just need to contact your partner and get a reference photo to them. You can do this via a jpg image, emailed. I believe it can be done by PM if you don't want to use your home email. Or, a link to a hosted image on the net (via a photo hosting site, ie: Flickr, Pbase, Photobucket, etc.) can be sent to you partner, in lieu of an attachment.
Hopefully I did not pair any past partners.
You can post Works in Progress here and comments can be made as well.
Once many have received their actual portraits in the mail, I will start a thread that anyone can post an image of themselves with their portrait. This was a great idea by a member, that many enjoyed, added a couple years back.
And the Games Begin!!!!
Enjoy; Jocelyn

Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
Hi Jocelyn
Thank you so much for fitting me in. I have had a look at tali's website and the vibrancy of her paintings is fabulous! Can hardly wait to see what she can do with this ol bag o bones. LOL.
Thanks very much to gumfrog too for being willing to pair up. I looked at your paintings too. You do an awesome pig gumfrog.
I've sent my image file to tali so the fun certaily has begun!
Looking forward to catching up with a lot of old friends and making some new ones.
Regards
Graham

Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
This event is always so much fun!
I met a very good friend the second year and I wanted to keep this Christmas season tradition going.

Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
I guess I missed where this invitation was posted. I've searched around after the fact and still don't see it. Could you tell me where the invitation is normally posted? I'd like to try this next year and don't want to miss it. Thanks.

Semele, I can add you if you like. I missed one name so it is actually an uneven # now. The Invite is in Portraiture but closed Friday. It gets posted around Halloween.
I have GaryNorthants needing a partner so that should work well then. I'll check back with you later.
Jean, nice to see you :-) Sorry that you were unable to join this year. You were my P 2 yrs ago and I have your nice digital of me.

Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
So how does one contact one's partner? Presumably from the original thread where we all signed up, clicking on that person's entry, and sending a PM. Original thread is now in "Library Archives." Where's that?
Edit--ahhhh!! "Portraiture Forum Library Archives" up at the top of the page! (What will they think of next?)

Watch it Lawrence, greensyster (Marie) is a fiesty Aussie!
Here is a portion of her last message to me. "Touch this one and I will find you and kill you ! "
If you need any help handling this wild one, don't call me, I've got my hands full with an Amazonian warrior who used to play on burnt out Syrian tanks at the age of 10!
Regards
Graham

Re: Offical 2008 Portrait Swap Pairings and WIP Thread
Thank you Thank you Tali!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This portrait of that handsome sandgroper devil is excellent in so many ways! I love the whoooosh one gets looking at it and the hidden edges and shapes that allows my mind to fill them in rather than being pushed into my face.
So you must have done this at one sitting I am thinking!?
PS - Best give the laddie what he askes for cos he has me pegged alrightie!
