Wow!! This is excellent. The fur must have taken ages to do! The colors are lovely.

I'm glad you like it. I had reference photos that I took more than 5 years ago, and have wanted to paint this guy for a long time. In the shot the background was more blue-toned snow. I chose to push it to the purples which I thought would emphasize the warm orange-yellows of the fur. The scan loses a bit of the very light yellows and slight pinks of the lighest portions of the background... oh well!
