Re: Going Home

Very peaceful feeling. Nice flow. Makes me want to walk that path and smell the flowers. I wonder where the road leads....

Re: Going Home

Yes very inspiration. And I think your visions has just helped a vision of mine...trying to figure out the colours of a street/land scape that has been on my head.

WOW you did that from no reference photos? You seem to have been on the mark for the perspective and tonal colour range!

Re: Going Home

Thank you--I find the colors very peaceful. That is supposed to be a lady with a child away up at the end near the light. Can anyone tell? I have this thing about tunnels and light. How cliche, huh?

Re: Going Home

Very well done. It look so peacefull. I see the lady and the child. It's a little boy and he's been very good today. She's taking him to the village down below to the right. I hope she will get him a lollipop or something. I just love your painting.

Re: Going Home

Hi Delphine a nice warm landscape excellently painted , it's similar to a walk near me , a disused railway line now landscaped , a tunnel of trees and bluebells underneath , you've captured the scene exactly !

Re: Going Home

Absolutely delightful in every way. I'd like to have a painting like that in my bedroom for when the sandman runs away. It is so relaxing and peaceful it might invite that elusive rascal back. Lovely painting.

Re: Going Home

Cheryl, I've got to admit that I didn't see the mother and child when I first looked at this, but I still interpreted the meaning of it to be the path to heaven, and the significance of your title meaning that we will all be going home someday to be with the Lord. Now, I see this beautiful, peaceful path and the mother that is leading her child to the light....a child with a terminal illness, perhaps.

It's a very peaceful, well rendered scene, irregardless of its meaning.

Char
