Ms Lin WIP

Le Monsteur stage

The original photo is probably a bit distorted, but I think people are used to that kind of visual image. This is the underpainting, in raw and burnt sienna, plus prussian blue and mars black. I hope this thing turns out well, it is always a bit dangerous to show a smile in PAINting.

Cheers

Will be watching this! But one question, what is the bump on the left on her shirt?

Re: Ms Lin WIP

If you are talking about her left, it is just her shirt bunching up. She is holding the camera. I'll have to render that section a bit more before it makes sense. Thanks for the feedback!

Out of the monster phase, not its in the wHy so SeRiOus phase...

Need to get it done by tonight (or at least close). It has to be sent to the framer tomorrow for a show on the 12. I'll get a few more hours to finish it up before I deliver it.

Nice piece. I love all the colors you are using in the face. So far the right side (of the painting) has a warm appeal, and the left side is cool. This can be contradicting, but also unique. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Re: Ms Lin WIP

Off to the frame shop, I am not quite finished but it has to go! Hopefully I can put on some touches before it goes to the group show.

Re: Ms Lin WIP

Framed and ready to go, I'm not entirely happy with her winked eye, so I might do some touch ups. This painting is a backup painting in a show I will be in this weekend.

Cheers
