Cool painting. It makes for an interresting portrait. I'm not up on who it is and the mystery adds to the appeal. I think you should do mor of these!

Great job. This is interesting as I live in Kentucky and root for the University of Kentucky (noticed the mask is depicting UK). Sorry to hear about the client skipping.... that stinks.... but you did a wonderful job anyway.
