Leap Frog and Friends - XP from Pen & Ink

A couple of probably non-traditional Coloured Pencil pieces
Leap Frog and Friends - I'm putting them sinto an Arts and Crafts show this May 4/5 weekend here in Toronto (Manor Road United Church by Bayview and Mount Pleasant - from 12 till 5 Saturday and Sunday, for those locals who may be interested )
I say non-traditional because they are based on micron pen drawings instead of pure pencil, but I like the look so I thought I would bring them into this forum just to share.
Both pieces are 9" x 11" finished size.

pfft. Who cares if it's non-traditonal? These are fabulous!

You've got some great color going on, especially with the dragon. And that is *such* an interesting comp with the frog. I'd love to see a wip of how you approach combining ink & cp.

WIP or not, I hope you'll post more of your work here! And good luck with the show. Let us know how you do with these!

I simply love these, the frog is my favorite. Looks like a guy I dated once , who cares if it is traditonal? What does that mean anyway. Great fun pieces, so glad you shared. Andi

Re: Leap Frog and Friends - XP from Pen & Ink

Thanks everyone
The show was disappointing but not discouraging - I didn't lose money and I gained a couple of contacts as well as the experience of my first weekend show in Toronto.
When I have some more time, TessDB, I'll post the scanned b&w's of the drawings done as an intermediate step before they got filled with colour.
I also have a couple of cards printed and the originals are still b&w, which I've been colouring - I'll scan those in to post before/after images as a sort of WIP, ok?
Again, thanks everyone for the warm welcome to CP!

Too bad the show wasn't a screaming success... but exposure & contacts are invaluable!

Love to see whatever you want to share of your progress pics!
