Hails from United States
A little time in the mountains

Just wanted to share a couple digital pictures with everyone. (No, not all of Colorado is on fire thank goodness). My wife Aida and I, and one of my step-daughters and her little boy spent last weekend up at The Evergreens. I guess we're fortunate...The Evergreens is up in Estes Park, Colorado..about a hour drive from Fort Collins, and the cabins are located less than a mile from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Estes valley was a bit hazy, with a blue haze from the fires down below Denver (we're about 70 miles above Denver..and Estes Park is quite a distance from the fires). Anyway..enough talk...here are the photos:

This is the Big Thompson River...winds along beside the cabins.

A couple of the cabins.

Main office and check-in.

If any of you get a chance to visit Colorado..give Aid and I a call (or email us!)

(Did take some art books..but didn't get to them...did manage to finish "Resist Much - Obey Little" (Remembering Ed Abbey) Seemed appropriate for the mountains.

Hi Michael, thanks for the birthday message. These photos are beautiful and the mountains look so inviting. It's great you have them so close.
I remember a couple of years ago when a good bit of Florida was burning...sobering thought.
take care

Wow Michael! I know you and Aida really enjoyed your time there. Hope you took your paints but real glad you took your camera. Thanks for showing us these.

Beautiful, Michael. I was in that area about 12 years ago, and I cried when I had to leave. I love those mountains. This makes me homesick for them, and I was there only a couple of weeks!
