visiting eden

Hello folks and hello to the new members I see here. I've been lurking here in England for the past 6 weeks, just got Mum hooked up to broadband so I've finally been able to have a look around.
We took a trip to Cornwall recently, same time as the worst storm since '87 actually. Nice timing eh?

Here's a couple I took at the Eden Project www.edenproject.com

This chap's built from the amount of electronic waste we'd throw away in a lifetime (3.3 tonnes)

An interesting and educational place indeed.

The sites been up and down like a w....s drawers Carol so only just spotted your post. I haven't been to the Eden project but if you picked the right day without too many crowds it should offer some interesting shots like the ones you posted.

Re: visiting eden

Great series of photos Carol. We have yet to visit the Eden Project, we must make a real effort next time we are in Cornwall.
Hopefully the next time you are in England we can meet up again.

Interesting shots Carol. Love that sculpture from the waste materials. What is the Eden Project?

You're right Chris, it would be extremely crowded in season, these were taken between heavy showers and just before the storm.

Hi Rob, yes it's definitely worth a visit. The biggest biome has tropical and subtropical plants inside and is 28 degrees with 60 percent humidity...fogged glasses, fogged camera, lots of uphill pathways...be warned!

Re: visiting eden

Have seen various doco's about this on TV, Carol, so your great photos have reminded me about Eden project.

Re: visiting eden

Good to see you posting again, Carol - was wondering what you were up to these days.

How's Mom?

How long are you there for this time?

I have heard of this project, too. That humidity and the hills would put me six feet under! I'll settle for your pics - post some more!

Cheers,
Me

Re: visiting eden

Hiya Sue, I'll be on my way home tomorrow - back on the Island Thursday. Mum's ok, a little higher maintenance each year - you know how it is.
I'll post some more from home and get in touch for a chat.
