Lisa St. Martin Class in Atlanta

Lisa St. Martin will be teaching Mastering Dichro and Metals for the Southern Flames in Atlanta in April. There are currently spaces available in the class on Thursday and Friday, April 24 and 25. The class description is as follows:

This two-day class will concentrate on the use of dichroic glass and fine-pure metals in lampworked beads. On the first day, students will dive into the mysteries of dichroic glass: what it is, how to purchase it, and how to successfully use it in the torch. They will then work with dichro on clear, colored, and textured glass, and learn how to create depth by layering colors and patterns. On the second day, students will be devoted to metals, such as copper, silver, and gold. They will work with leaf, wire, sheet, and mesh, adding inclusions, granulations, and more. Techniques of gold and silver fuming will be discussed and demonstrated with emphasis on safety. Students will also make several “must have” tools in class.

The class fee is $260.00 for Southern Flames members or $285.00 for nonmembers. This is a great opportunity to attend this fantastic class at an amazing price, and the remaining spaces will fill quickly! If you're interested, please drop me an email and I'll get back to you with further details.
