Snow Cabin
This was the second painting I had ever painted, it was from a Yarnell lesson from around October 2007. (I have only done about five paintings) I changed it up a bit, It would'nt be mine if I did'nt, and I feel I wouldn't improve if I did'nt use my own style. (The moon was rounded since this photo) I still have much to learn.

Re: Snow Cabin
For only your second painting this is very good indeed. Your attention to detail suggests keen observation and a great sense of patience. Those two disciplines will, I'm sure, always provide you with a basis for successful results.
Well done, and thanks for sharing with us. I'm sure we shall see some excellent paintings from you in the future.
Thomas.

Re: Snow Cabin
So much right with this - the setting is lovely and you've painted it beautifully. The play of shadow on the moonlit snow gives such a feeling of peace. You've also got some excellent details, like the little cross on top of the building and the tufts of grass peeking through the snow. You've done a fantastic job - can't wait to see more of your work!
