Just Sold some Knitting Pins!

I've just made my first sale for my little Knitting Lapel Pins!!! Was thrilled that a shop owner in Michigan....Thistledown Shoppe....bought lapel pins for her clients attending a Knitting retreat in a few weeks!!!

Hopefully I will be able to get some more sales! You can see the little pins on my Blog!

Re: Just Sold some Knitting Pins!

Thanks y'all! I thought I had the pic on the first page of my blog, but it was in one of the entries to my blog at this site

http://thistleknit.blogspot.com/2007...e-or-what.html

The lady at Thistledown Shoppe, Kathy, seems like a really neat person!! Nice shop in Suttons Bay, MI. I'm not sure where or when the retreat is...you can contact them here for info I guess.

Since the shop colors are purple and green, I am using green glass beads for the needle heads and purple wool for the yarn. The pins are super easy to make and I have a couple of versions so no two are just alike. Of course the color combos are limitless.

Re: Just Sold some Knitting Pins!

I love the pin... I made something similar for my mother several years ago using toothpicks and I actually knit with the things... I like your idea much better. She's gone now so I have the pin back... here it is...

Re: Just Sold some Knitting Pins!

Nice pin Helen....I like your fancy "needles" and your knitting swatch. I'll bet your Mom loved it!!!! It doesn't seem to be an "original" idea, but there is a lot of variety and interpretation...and of course, if you have the right connections, like Pavia Lewis, (miknitures.com)and get published in Vogue Knitting, you can get a little more exposure!
Still, they're fun little things for a knitter to have...and mine don't cost $35 each!!!!
