Painting on a Gold Pan!

Hi all! I'm a new guy in the WC territory... I posted a few pics of some sawblades I've painted. I've had requests to paint on all kinds of different things--shovels, frying pans, slab wood, fur stretcher boards, etc. Here's a painting of the Denali area in Alaska on a gold pan. A customer who just returned from a trip from Alaska asked if I could paint a scene on a gold pan she bought. I used her travel brochures as reference. She wanted an eagle to be added also. She was very happy w/ the result. Thanks for lookin', Pete

Re: Painting on a Gold Pan!

Hi Pete, welcome to the forum! I saw your painting in the other thread, they are beautiful pieces.

I love the depth achieved in this plate, I can see why your customer would be thrilled with this painting and what a clever idea to use her travel brochures. This can bring such nice memories to her.

What a fantastic piece! It's great that you're so comfortable painting on non-traditional surfaces...there are no limits to what you could do
