Wildlife in the Rockies

Hello, I am new here and thought I would share some of my work. I am a Wildlife Artist living in SW Wyoming. I love all of the outdoors and I love even more to create everything out there in an artistic medium.

Elk in Pencil

Eye detail

Mule Deer in Pencil, sorry about the glare.

I mostly do Bronze sculpture, but I also like pencil, ink, and oil paints.

Thanks for looking.

Re: Wildlife in the Rockies

I had a chance to consider an invitation for an art position a few years ago in SW Wyoming...the high school had their own bronze foundry. You know, one of those things from time to time where you wonder if you didn't do the right thing turning it down!

This work is absolutely stunning, fantastic...and I can believe your bronze work is no doubt very good. In fact, hands on three-dimensionally sure helps the minds eye to think more convincingly thru 2-d rendering...

I do wish that mule deer wasn't in glare. Nice piece!!! Bravo, and welcome to Wetcanvas!!!!

Re: Wildlife in the Rockies

Welcome to the zoo and WC in general! I am also curious to see your bronze work as well. These are terrific pieces, and you work your grey scale values exceptionally well, pushing the darks and letting your highlight stand out. Very nice work. I would also like to see the mule deer without a glare/relfection if you are able to do so. I am interested in seeing the musculature from a clearer shot. Great work and I am very interested in seeing more!
