hotel lobby mural

Hi y'all,
This is in the lobby of a new hotel/condo on the oceanfront. The mural is at the top of the stairs to the second floor, focal point of the room as you come in the front door.

Here's the "before" ...

I made sketches on the computer, here's the one they chose...

We had to tie the hanging light off to one side to make room for a 10' ladder, so I won't be able to get good pictures until after all that is put to rights. Here's progress as of this morning...

I'll post final pictures tomorrow.

Ruth

Re: hotel lobby mural

Ruth, this is so beautiful. I especially like the plant on the right of the pillar. Is it Dracena, or palmetto, or ...................? The curved leaves are so pretty. Awaiting the next post.

Re: hotel lobby mural

Glad to see both views. Turned out really well. The closeups give us a view without the overhead light.

Re: hotel lobby mural

Just incredible, Ruth! This does look much tighter than your usual style... I can see veins on those orange tree leaves...

Re: hotel lobby mural

That is so utterly fantastic...... a wonderful entrancing to the place, for sure - and indeed, can see them using it as a draw in their brochures...
