Thanks very much Al. Your feedback is always important to me.
I didn't know this forum existed until I noticed the reference to it in your sig a couple of days ago. There are some fantastic artists here and I will comment as soon as I get a chance.
I was a little worried that it might refer only to the USA but couldn't see any reference to that in the guidelines. Of course Australia has deep roots in this kind of culture and in many ways has helped to mould it's character.
I live in rural Western Australia and delight in watching the changing scenes around me. At the moment the sun is just rising and I am looking out on a paddock full of newly cut rolls of hay. Monet would be in heaven. LOL

Regards
Graham

Graham... What a wonderful piece, just bursting with power. That bull is fantastic! I am so glad you found your way here and can't wait to see more!

Yes, you are most welcome... Western art is the spirit of the people and a way of life, not just a physical location...

Beautiful painting Graham. Love the action you've captured. That's one bad bull.

The bull and rodeo clown are perfect. I like the movement in the piece, and your hint at the crowd in the background is just enough to bring this piece alive.

Not the kind of beast to have your leg trapped in a coil of rope eh Garbonzo?
Thanks for your comments I really apreciate them.

Thanks Charissa.
I think these guys do such a great job in keeping the riders safe. The adrenalin must be really pumping.

I commented on how much I like this painting wherever you posted it before you came here with it.

Rodeo clowns - those that follow the professional circuit in the USA and CA - suffer more injuries during a career than do the cowboys sometimes. I had the privilege of chatting with a professional clown when we sat side by side on a plane flight one time and I was fascinated with his stories (when I wasn't being appalled!).

I'm not surprised to hear that they suffer more injuries. After all, they are in the ring all the time. The rider is there for a few seconds. LOL.
I admire their fitness and their ability to leap up onto the railings to get out of the way. If it were me I'd have to stand still and would probably be charged with cruelty everytime the bull bounced off me.

Regards
Graham

This is really great, Graham, you've certainly captured the mood and moment! Wonderful. I like your use of color and values as well. Great composition! Great painting!
