I don't agree with you

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: I don't agree with you
Year Created: 2007
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Wood
Dimension: 16x20
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
The two flowers are back to back to each other. That inspire me the title. Like if one of the flower would have told something and the second became mad and turned its back.

I don't really know what to think. It came up like this, that's all!

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Anything: composition, colors, etc...

Re: I don't agree with you

This appears to be more than a mere disagreement -- I see a reddish fog of cholere in the air between them.

It's very nicely done -- the technique works perfectly for the chosen subject. And the dark background makes the flowers positively glow against the warmer and brighter hues of the two floral subjects.

Great painting, interesting technique, like the painting is falling apart or exploding.

The technique is wonderful for the leaves. Even if the flowers are not, they are loose, natural and relaxed. Those two flowers do seem to have quite a spikey attitude toward each other.

This is a lovely technique to do the flowers! It's like that they where waisting away (maybe because they actually couldn't lvie without each other). Looks pretty abstract and I love your interpretation of these flowers.

Color is very good without blaring at the viewer. Composition is very well done. This, IMO, is complete. Put aside to dry and frame. Good!!!

Re: I don't agree with you

Thank you everyone for your nice comments.

To La's question, no the red background was not a flower at one time. I just start with the idea of a clearer background at the center. I only work the primaries and white, and my mixture turned out to be that color.

About the technic, I only work with a knife. This may explain the overall finish.

Once again, thank you all and have a wonderful day everyone.
