October Doodle
Greetings fellow artists!
I have not been on here in a bit, so i though I'd show you one of the pieces of art which I am working on. I started this last night, I was up until 3 in the morning playing around with a micron pen.
This is a 'study' of possibility of line, creating the illusion of depth and also playing around with perspective.
Medium: Micron .005 Pen
Size: 8x8 inches
Thank you for taking the time to look at it

Re: October Doodle
Very cool! I like the results you get when you play around. I need to do more of that. If only there was more time in the day . . .

Re: October Doodle
I can so agree with you on that Monica. Time is a restriction for many artists, its something we have to work around. What can I say, reality can be insanity. I didnt have time to work on it today, but tomorrow... tomorrow is full of possibilities.

Re: October Doodle
Very nice indeed... I like the illusion. It looks like a rendering of one of the CAD programmes but with a human touch. Let's see how it goes

Re: October Doodle
Nice doodle. I love doodles. for a while, I hadnt posted anything but had a whole bunch of ball pen doodles from my office I was going to post. this got me to thinking, maybe we should do a thread of doodles. Its funny how you can pull a really good idea from them. I agree with Tammamo, looks like a CAD thing.

Re: October Doodle
Yeah, this is really different from my other work, I think. Heres about 3 more hours of work added.
Some more pointillism added to the universe and a little ball point pen shading to the tree. This is no longer just a study of line, I am incorporating other techniques that I know. lets see how it all comes together
Thank you for looking

Wow, I really like the tree in the middle. It has such volume!

Re: October Doodle
Yeah i really like the tree in the middle as well, i thought it through more so than the tree on the right, that one was more intuitive with a lack of listening to my intuition ha ha
I scanned this at school on a high quality scanner. It was scanned in grey scale rather than color, this is why the contrast looks different.
And another update on my home scanner, the difference is about 500+ dollars in equipment, my scanner was 50 bucks, but it does an alright job.
