Re: Who are your 3 favorite artists?
Always changing as I dig deeper into art history and as I dig deeper into individual artists. Michelangelo is way out in front as number one. Probably Rubens and Degas as two and three, though Sargent is catching up. Cheers.

Re: Who are your 3 favorite artists?
Favourite living artists are Gregg Kreutz, Aaron Smith and Brett Amory.
Andrew Salgado comes in at a close 4th.
Dead artists and 'masters' I'd have to say Rembrandt first and foremost. Some of his self portraits are among my favourite ever paintings.

If you like Boris, Giancola, and Warren, you should check out Phil Hale, Dino Valls, Gottfried Helnwein, and Jeremy Geddes. Even after "kicking it up a couple notches", there's still many more "notches" to go...

Re: Who are your 3 favorite artists?
Well, that is a very good question.
For me personally Leonardo is the N1, then Michaelangelo and then Rembrandt.

Re: Who are your 3 favorite artists?
Van Gogh is my favorite and if you've never read this fascinating story about one of his paintings in Auvers - here it is https://digital.library.txstate.edu/...4/fulltext.pdf A story of a group of astrology students and their discovery of the true attribution of a Van Gogh painting.

Re: Who are your 3 favorite artists?
Rembrandt, Velasquez, and Sargent, in that order. These artists could be imitated but never surpassed, I think.
