Re: untitled

The Cosmos are immediately identifiable, foliage and all. that always pleases me so much to see with any painting of flowers or plants. It has been painted seemingly with an understanding of the plants nature. beautifully done. It has fallen prey to one of watercolors characteristics, the tendency, especially for beginners for weak values. Everything is too watered down and pastel. There is no solidity. The beautiful flower that will usually sing out its presence, here gives us barely a whisper. Compare the presentation with your own avatar. I t should and can approach that saturation of color without going dead and opaque. keep at it, you have a marvelous touch!
