Mixed Iris

MIXED IRIS

18 X 78 CM

Arches 300gsm
Cold Pressed Fin
Another weird dimensional painting... get three of these from the one sheet of watercolour paper...

Tried to get the whole image in the first photo without pulling back too far... there is more of it on the bottom... see 2nd image... hope that makes sense...

Looking forward to your replies...

Re: Mixed Iris

Another nice one. I like the colour combinations in this, it gives it an 'old world feel' if you know what I mean. I wish my experiments were this good.

How do you frame these?
Marion

Re: Mixed Iris

Very, very nice!
Lovely soft colours - and as Marion says, an old-world feel.
I like seeing the torn edge of the paper too - suits the work!

Re: Mixed Iris

Marion...thanks for the compliment... I frame these as I would a normal painting... if you mean ...do I find standard frames... which is what I think you meant... well... I have to get frames custom made to fit... Unfortunately it does add considerable cost to the work... as you can always find standard frames at economical prices as opposed to those that are custom made to fit!

SunsetSue...thanks for your compliment.

Fozbot...thanks for your reply...much appreciated.

Gilberte...thanks muchly.

Charlie's Mum...thanks for your reply... and the compliment about it looking "Old world"... as for the torn edge goes... just a by-product of economy!

Garry1953...thanks Gary...

Re: Mixed Iris

Wow, you have a way with irises! The petals are so soft, delicate, and fluffy.
