second scratchboard

had some free time today and did a stevie ray vaughan scratchboard




I tryed playing with only two directions of strokes, and different line weight.

Really nice work - I like how you've used left-to-right strokes for clothing and a contrasting right/left stroke for the "important" areas like his face, hands and the guitar. My eye does kinda get stuck on the feather, but not knowing anything about musicians I'm assuming that's Vaughan's signature? (My husband is rolling his eyes at my ignorance, but he's the musician in our family!)

thanks all, yes, its vaughan. I too noticed the feather was very eye striking. I think I'll go back in with some ink and scratch out some more in that area.
