Hi everyone

I post mainly in the Drawing and Sketching forum, but I like to jump around a bit. I have been teaching myself crocheting and knitting. I learned the basics from my mom and I've been building on them, using different yarns and needles/hooks, and trying different stitches. I've made afghans, hats, bags, and other easy projects. Haven't ventured into clothing yet. I will, eventually.

Hello everyone! I'm Anitta from Finland, I usually work with pastels, oil pastels and colored pencils. I started doing needle felted pieces for my jewelry projects and recently moved on to do small paintings. I also embroider, mostly cross stitch and blackwork.

That happens Anitta. I have noticed a few of us have had the same problem so it's likely the system here and not you at all. Welcome! Glad you found us! I've done cross stitch and enjoyed it a great deal. I also enjoy felting, oil pastels and colored pencils.

Hi Anitta,
I had a Finnish friend named Anitta in university who introduced me to Finnish saunas! It made the saunas here seem chilly! I could only handle the heat with a little trick she showed me... holding a cup of ice under my nose!

I've never seen blackwork... no idea what it is, so I hope you will post some!
