Desert Nocturne

Cross-posted from Acrylics, Based on this lovely photo by Trimoon from our very own RIL: http://www.wetcanvas.com/RefLib/show...php?photo=6308 my 18 x 24" gallery wrap morphed about three times from my original plan. I finished this today and am content where it ended up.

I think this is what's considered a "low keyed" painting. It's quite dark, but looks really enchanting in a dark room with a light shining over the top.

C&C are always welcome! (I'm trying a new signature style too...think it looks okay?)

Re: Desert Nocturne

Celeste,
I really like paintings with a night lighting and this is really a beauty. The flower glows against the dark sky and the foreground blues and mauves tell us a lovely moon is glowing there too.

The signature looks very distinctive.

Re: Desert Nocturne

WOW this is really neat. It is almost spooky and not something I'd like to come across while sleepwalking. Love that little colour among the darks. You have a very inquisitive way Celeste. Bravo!
