Printmaking Annual, Biennial, Triennial Competitions

Greetings, printmaking gang!

Since Brian mentioned he'd not heard of BIMPE, I thought I would start a thread on printmaking competitions that are repeated (rather than just one-off shows). I would be delighted for people to add to this list. I've indicated the last year held, when the next year should be held, the name of the competition, the location of the competition, any restrictions that I'm aware of I've listed it, and link to the website for information. If you add to this list, please try to provide as much information as possible.

Thanks Diane. I'll try to keep on top of it more or less, to advise when there are changes of dates or deadlines, but anyone else can feel free to pop in and do the same!

Andrew and I can also go back in and delete the older links and replace them with the newer ones in your first post so people don't have to read down through all the news postings...

Re: Printmaking Annual, Biennial, Triennial Competitions

Hi Ana & welcome to the printmaking forum! This particular thread was started so that anyone interested in printmaking competitions could have the opportunity to investigate the information listed here on their own, all in one location (rather than hunting around on the internet every time they were curious about any printmaking competition), or to post any further competitions that aren't already listed that they might know about. Did you have any specific questions about any of the competitions? If so, you might wish to start your own thread so that people can reply directly to your questions. As this thread is more of an "information source" type thread, comments tend to get missed by many of the readers on this forum.

Anyway, again, welcome, and we look forward to hearing from you again and seeing some of your work if you'd like to post it!

Cheers!

Re: Printmaking Annual, Biennial, Triennial Competitions

Amie

thank you so much for posting all of these print competitions...wow.. don't know where you find these but we are sure happy you do!
Just one comment, some of these competitions ask for a few bucks (USD or Euro) in the way of entry fees, then there is shipping to consider on top of that. Not sure I would want to spend $50+ just to have a print juried and not be accepted. But that is just me...an artist on a tight budget has to consider these things.
