some flower pictures

I love to play with my digital camera as I try to use mostly my own reference shots. Here's a few. Hope you enjoy them.

Blue Passion Vine

A closer up of this night bloomer ~ Looks like she was making a kamakazi run

Re: some flower pictures

I remember the first time I ever saw a passion flower as a child, (it was blue) I thought it was from outer space! That's gorgeous.

Lovely pics Dan - that passion flower looks almost like a face!
We have this plant on our fence - actually, it's the neighbours, but it flowers on our side

Re: some flower pictures

Thanks everyone! I was pleasantly surprised to the passion flower only about a week after planting. That and I planted this right at the beginning of summer (and it gets HOT here!). No more flowers yet, but the vine isn't looking so ragged now.

Re: some flower pictures

Beautiful photos Ranger Dan, I just love Red Bird of Paradise, we call them mexican bird of paradise.

My DH grew up in Mesa/Tempe AZ, has been in So. California since 1982. We visit every few years and yes it does get hot! Have you had lots of rain this summer? I wish we would get a summer storm with some rain.
