Water Pond

This is the second painting of the waterfall at Kanapaha. The first was the image on my homepage.

This one is 20x24 oil on linen, en plein air.
Love,
Linda

Gorgeous! The water especially is absolutely wonderful. Did you do this in a single session?

Wonderful choice of colors, and I like the way you have the background trees that gradually fade out in the distance. Do you know where the name Kanapaha comes from? It sounds Hawaiian. Yax

Thanks all for the kind words.
Yax,
The name is Native American, common here in Florida.

I have been doing a series of works studying the effects of atmospheric perspective. This is the latest in that series.

Lisa,
I did this painting in two sessions, about 6 hours total. I went at similar times and weather conditions.

Wayne,
Your comments are always so positve and much appreciated.
Love,
Linda
