Bruise Cruise
Just finished this to-day and I feel that I have achieved something that I was aiming for. I am very proud of my bruisers.
However I am open to constructive criticism. Please don't tell me that I should paint a background in, because I don't do backgrounds.
I have been painting for about four months now and I think that I have painted a beautiful pair of animals fighting for the rights to sire children.
A female elephant has to go 22 months before giving birth. Interesting yes/no!
What do you think of my bruisers?

And well you should be proud...Great work...I can smell the dust and feel the ground tremble just looking at them.

I love elephants. You've done an excellent job. Plenty of action and drama

Re: Bruise Cruise
Thanks fo rcomments so far. Nicky, It's supprisingly easy. Just takes a bit of time and patience. I'm stuck in my studio all day long as I've been struck down by some stupid desease and am forced to stay right here in front of
a: my computer
b: my canvasses.
I can't even go out and get drunk. I'm forced to paint these stupid animals and people.
Still what the heck - could be worse. I could have to go to work.

Re: Bruise Cruise
Magnificent beasts! You've done a great job, and you're so talented painting something of this calibre after only 4 months with the brush. Maybe you're 'supposed' to be painting? I hope you will be feeling better.
The dust works really well, too and I don't think there's any need for a background, they stand on their own as is. Well done!
Best wishes.

I think you meant to say 'stupid people' and animals People can be stupid, animals rarely are.
I'm sorry to hear that you are unwell, but I would say that becoming an artist and creating beautiful dramatic pieces like this one is the silver lining to your illness cloud

Re: Bruise Cruise
I love it. I would put in a background though.. sorry but I would. I am not a background person either, look at my banner thing. If you've only been at it for 4 months, wow.. I really want to see what you'll be doing in 6 months or a year, this is incredible. What medium is this? I looked but I don't think it was mentioned.
Keep up the good work. Even if you're not feeling well, having something beautiful to show for your time must be rewarding! Keep with it! The backgrounds will come in time if that's what you decide.

Re: Bruise Cruise
I too am sorry that you are ill but....this is waay better than getting drunk. After all, you have a beautiful painting to show for it instead of a hangover. And yeah....painting sure beats going to work!!!
I prefer furry animals but these elephants are dramatic and I really like your subtle colors. I hate doing backgrounds too but you have found a perfect way around the need for one.

Re: Bruise Cruise
Hi there, (i dont know your name) Thats really sad being struck down with a terminal illness..i can understand why you feel sorry for yourself at times..You are an amazing artist, for such a short time, i can see alot of love goes into your work. I looked at your website, very impressive. You have acheived so many paintings in such a sort time, all beautiful. Thanks for encouraging me that i could paint elephants also, although im not the most patient person in the world. All i can say is this is the most wonderful supportive place. As for me, i would be lost with out the beautiful souls that inhabit it . Keep up the great painting..
