Great start Animal.

Keep these updates coming thick and fast - I like the blow by blow approach, it should really help people to improve their own work, looks like a very strong start

I am a complete horse addict. (nut) Just returned from CA where I got in my fill (almost) of riding again after 7 years. I found l didn't have the muscle tone I needed so was kind of sloppy in my grip.
Can I blame it on my age? (74)
Anyway, I love the way you are going and I know it will be beautiful when it's done. One suggestion: the eye slants and I would make it bigger. Like on a human, a little eye can make him look mean. Big and warm and sparkling!

I've wanted to do this one too. I just love draft horses and other muscle animals.
This is going great. You really got that background dark. What colors did you use and how long has it taken so far?
I can't wait to see your progress.
