Red face k.i.s.s.

Guess which one of my "rules" I forgot on this outing!

Not to worry, it's well done and some busy person will fall in love with it.

Ruth, The values are still well placed and dramatic.

Please tell us where you got that beautiful frame!

Whatever rule you forget to use, it is working for you!

I say throw the rules out the window....then paint them.

Hi, Ruth
Another lovely painting from you!

Okay, how about telling me ALL your rules??? I am not sure which rule you have broken here. Can you enlighten me?

This is very nice. Love your work.

Talking

My Rules:

1. Keep It Simple, Stupid! Rule numer one. First and always. Except when you forget.

2. Lightest light next to darkest dark in the focal area.

3. Path of light leading into painting to focal area and secondary areas of interest.

4. Connected darks.

That's pretty simple, but it works for me.

Ruth
