Re: ***DAILY WASH ~ SATURDAY 14th JULY ~ 2007***
Hi all,
Just got off the phone with Uschi. What a charming lady she is!!!!!! Anyhow, like Johnny said, she sounds great. She has been up and walking with a walker. I kept the conversation short...(who in their right mind would want to talk to me).
Have a Great Day,
Jim

Heidi One of my most favorite ways to spend the day, and a PRECIOUS memory for me is,
an invigorating, exhilarating, GORGEOUS motorcycle ride through the Delaware Water Gap
on the "Pennsy" side

Re: ***DAILY WASH ~ SATURDAY 14th JULY ~ 2007***
Finally finished my latest painting - its SUNFLOWERS - posted them in the gallery then got diverted by darling brother John twittering on about claiming his Veterans Badge from his time in the army.
Spooky goings on again at Brogan Towers today - I brought the washing in and closed the entry door but not fully as it needs to be lifted up for the lock to be drawn across - put the washing basket in the dining room - went back to lock the gate - AND IT WAS FULLY LOCKED!!!
Well I suppose I had better make a start on another painting to do that is in my ever growing pile.
Glad to hear Uschi is on fine form.

Hello to one and all!!! I've not been around lately... too many irons in the fire and too much work to be done! Have not even had time to paint much. But I wanted to check in and see how everyone was getting along!
White light and hugs to everyone! I'll be back more often now.. Marge

Lyn, when you're done there, want to do mine? I haven't been able to vacuum or to dust above my shoulders for 2 months with my shoulder tendonitis, and I Won't let Bob do it because of his back. Soon though it will get done!

Fran, I use two different kind of walkers to haul stuff from place to place; one with a bag and one with a basket and a flat seat on which I pile things. I drag my 50 ft. oxygen line behind me. I haven't vacuumed in years, because of my back and arthritis. I'm just determined to get this done and the grandkids have jobs, etc. and are too busy to assist, except for an hour at a time when they can come over to watch a movie. I don't like to ask them now that they have jobs. When I'm done, my DIL will come over to vacuum and dust and clean everything for me.

Re: ***DAILY WASH ~ SATURDAY 14th JULY ~ 2007***
Lyn, I can relate. No mopping for me. I do manage the vaccuum though. I have three cats and don't have a choice. A few years ago I purchased a Dynamite By Dirt Devil that works very well and only weight 7 pounds. The cord messes me up though. Hang in there ya'll!
Heidi those are beautiful pictures (well except those bug thingies LOL). My fav is the toddler playing with his ball. How adorable he is!
Tomorrow I start packing. I have six weeks at the most. Their house is huge and my oldest grand-daughter and I will have the complete bottom floor; two bedrooms, a den, a full bath (Yippee daily hot baths again!), a separate door to the back yard with a deck and a huge garage they don't use for the cars lots and lots of space for a little studio, my fridge and microwave (so I wont have to go up and down those stairs) and a space for exercise equipment.
We have agreed to three months. But who knows what will happen. I am going to try to help out by watching the baby for a few days a week while my daughter works at her part time job. We are going to try it out and see if I can keep up with an 18 month old rambuncious little boy.
Today I was pretty busy contacting the Chamber of Commerce, Dept of Social Services, finding out the banks, Social Security Office, hospital/doctors and pain mgmt clinic. I did find out that this small town of 19,000 people has an art guild. I will join that asap.
There are a few members on WC who live close by and who I have been in contact with for several months; so I have a few friends in place already.
I hate moving though! I bought this house ten years ago and never imagined I would leave it. Today the pain was through the roof; good stress and can't turn the brain off so much to do.
I am eager to spend time with the grandchildren but especially Ava who just turned 12. We got plans!
Night night ya'll!

Nancy, hope it works out for you. My MIL lived with us for seven years before we lost her, but I don't know if my mom and I could have lived in the same house!!!

Nancy,
I just read your post and want to wish you Good Luck with your move. How nice that you and your oldest GD will have a floor all to yourselves like an apartment. I think you'll be much happier around your family. Who knew you would have such a major life-change happening just a month ago!
Don't look on moving as a chore, think of it as an adventure and a chance to get rid of some of the clutter we all accumulate when we stay in one place too long.

Wow, Nancy. what a good friend you have! Sage advice and the assistance you needed to be able to do it, all in one swell foop (a Spoonerism we use around our house)! It sounds like an ideal arrangement, if you and your daughter and family get along. You have your own life, friends, and absorbing interests, so I'll bet it will work out! But your daughter better watch out for that downstairs team!!
