I really enjoyed Robert Leedy's work so I emailed him.

He looked at my work on wetcanvas and came back with lots of advice about painting loose.

What a lovely man.

Doug, are you willing to share some of Leedy's advice on painting loose. I love that style but as an accountant by trade the spontaneity is a tough thing for me.

Well Nancy I was a surveyor by profession and you can't get much tighter than that. I worked on a drawing board 40 years.

Well, I aim to do today's landmark with a 1" flat, we'll see if that helps.
