photos/How to print to an aceo size?

Hi ,I was wondering if anyone new how to convert a photo(like a 4"x6")to a aceo size? I would like to print them out on my hp all-in-one photo printer.
Also,What kind of paper would I print them out on? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Judy

I haven't printed anything out but...

I would assume if you use Photoshop to resize your photo down to ACEO size (plus a little), that should do it.

I can't afford PhotoShop. I use Paint Shop Pro.
I choose to print 2.5" wide, and as long as the top is at least 3.5", then I can crop to that.
I use top quality Kodak glossy paper - you can buy it 4x6" and print two on that at a time.
I select 'best' (quality) and make sure you change the paper to glossy.
Don't handle the front after printing.

Jillian... Do you spray or seal the photo?

No, I don't, I'm too scared I'll ruin it.
But if you want to practice, it's a good idea to, especially with UV sprays.
But then, some people don't want it sprayed.
I usually include instructions or suggestions re spraying - I feel that I'm 'doing my bit' then.

I do the same thing.....except I have a laser printer so smudging is not a concern.

I have had problems with quality on occasion.

Jillian....what dpi do you use?

Re: photos/How to print to an aceo size?

I usually work on 300 dpi for most things as that is what I have always used in the publishing world.
However, printers have different gauges.
If I use top quality it's something like 1200 dpi, and usually takes so much memory to print, it's not worth it.
