Hails from United States
Path To The Rhodies

Painted at the Botanical gardens near my home today with three other plein air friends. I completed this one...it's 11x14 on stretched canvas. I'm leaning toward masonite panels more and more!...but I have a lot of small canvases to use up first! LOL I actually started another painting after lunch but only had about an hour's work on it...so you don't get to see it..haha.

Sorry for all the shine...but wet oils just don't like to be photographed!

Where did I put my sunglasses???? I'm jealous, Carly, we had more rain today--again. Love the bright colors in this. I can see the strong influence of Susan Sarbuck. Guess you learned a lot at the workshop.

Hi Carly,
looks like you had a great day out! Fab colours! I particularly like the mauve sky colour. How long will a thick oil like this take to dry?
regards Pam

Inspiring!!

Wow! I just love this----your work is just delightful Carly. I love the light in impressionist paintings, it seems to sparkle like no other.
