Island castle

Started This using 14" x 10" water paper with water colours and acrylics.
Sky is finished but i still have work to do on the castle and foreground so dont take to much notice of the sea.

c&c welcome
Dan

Re: Island castle

Hi Dan, looks like a good painting. Hope you don't mind if I make a couple of suggestions. I find it is much better to take a photo with the painting on the floor in good daylight. On some occasions I find even this does not give an accurate reproduction of the painting so I pop it into a program such as Irfanview and make adjustments until it matches the original.
Hope this helps as I have just tried adjusting your painting and it shows up a lot of information that is not visible in your photo. If you need any help just let me know.

Re: Island castle

Hi Dan, This is the modification, it may not be quite the same as your original
painting as I don't have it in front of me for a reference.
Hope this is not to far removed from the original, let me know what you think.
Irfanview is a free program and is quite easy to use. Lets know if you need any more infomation.

Re: Island castle

Thanks Ted,
A bit yellowish compared to the painting, but you do get the details of the castle on the rocks better....
