Hails from United States
What others are saying...

Hi All,

Was out painting at sunrise along a country road with one of my private students today, just south of Raleigh.

A woman driving by stopped and commented to us:

"You know we're really getting civilized when you see painters along the road!"

Don't you love it?

Diane

*whew! Evidently...they had not seen the classic, "Lust for Life" about Van Gogh and Gauguin, or "civility" would perhaps be questioned! hahahaha....

but yes, nice comment to hear, and that would be my assessment as well.

Larry

That is nice to hear.....different than one might experience in other parts of the country.
With your student (lucky person)....were you watching the colors change with the rising sun?

Hi Jerry,

Yes, went out at 5:30 till 9:30 am and watched, painted the various changes in the sun as it came up behind a group of trees then turned around to paint a small cottage lighted by the same morning sun. It was great and many discoveries were made.

Take Care,
Diane
