Diamond bit - where to get??

I have been having trouble finding a 1/18 bit to clean my beads. Are there any that are long enough to clean longer beads? I have a dremmel type tool.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Amy

Re: Diamond bit - where to get??

I got mine from Starr Gems, Inc in Tucson, AZ. You could call them at 520-882-8750. Be very specific about the diamond bit you need and tell them you will be using it on glass, in water to clean out the holes. They are pretty cheap and may call them "bead reamers". The tiny ones were #275.05 $1.95 and the larger are $2.95. BUT that was in 2005. I ordered 10 of each so I didn't have to do it again for a while. If you have a problem let me know and I'll do my best to assist from here.

Re: Diamond bit - where to get??

Amy,

You can find the dremel diamond bit at Lowes, Walmart or Home Depot, they are in with the other dremel tool bits and accessories and run around $11.00. If you have a local true value, they have a set that contains 8 bits of varying sizes for around the same price. These bits will not clean the tiny holes, but will get to 1/16.

Ditto on Widgets. I bought several packages. The price is right, the service is excellent.
